The V Iberdrola Firefighters of Madrid Race is a classic race on the calendar of Madrid athletes and Crown Sport Nutrition wanted to be there supporting amateur sports. The classic of popular athletics in Madrid brought together in this fifth edition 4.000 runners, a circumstance that prompted a slight change in the route for the athletes.
The route began at Puerta del Sol at the corner with Preciados Street, continuing along Gran Vía Street until connecting with Alcalá and reaching Plaza de Cibeles. From there, the athletes faced a slight uphill for several kilometers along Paseo de la Castellana, with a downhill turn around Plaza de Cuzco and the finish line at Paseo de Recoletos, very close already to Plaza de Cibeles.
