Running Is Associated with Lower Mortality Risk

A study published in the prestigious British Journal of Sports Medicine that included more than 200.000 people concludes that those people who run, even one day a week, have a lower risk of mortality. At a time when sedentary lifestyles and obesity are growing alarmingly, encouraging the practice of physical exercise can help improve the health of the population.

The data are conclusive. Running was associated with up to a 30% lower risk of mortality from all causes. This information is very important, since, even if we do not have much time, running is better than not doing it. Exercise is medicine.
