Spring begins, the longer days, the warmth… that is, for all of us who like to train, the good times start! And to keep training something good, you have to do things properly and leave nothing to improvisation, so today, I'm going to talk to you a little about hydration and what a good isotonic drink should be like.
As you all know, water alone is not enough, since what matters is the amount of it that I am able to assimilate, that is, to retain in my cells. To optimize this, the intake of mineral salts, known as electrolytes, is essential, the most important being Sodium.
By consuming a technical isotonic drink like Isotonic Drink, we ensure the optimal supply of this mineral, since this drink is formulated based on what scientific studies indicate as necessary to meet its requirements. What science indicates in this regard is that the concentration of the sodium ion (Na+) must be between 460 and 1.150 mg/L to promote the arrival of water and carbohydrates to the intestine and, in addition, it helps maintain the extracelular fluid volume.
Isotonic drink meets 100% of the recommendations proven by science, providing approximately 236 mg of Sodium per recommended serving of 400 ml, which translates to about 590 mg of Sodium per liter.
