Curcumin COMPLEX are vegetable capsules made from 3 powerful herbal extracts: Turmeric (standardized to 95% curcuminoids, of which 41% is curcumin), Ginger (5% gingerols), and Black Pepper (95% piperine). With these high-purity and highly standardized raw materials, we achieve one of the most potent anti-inflammatory products on the market. This product is designed for both athletes and the general population. It is vegan-friendly and free of allergens.
Key Benefits of Turmeric
- Anti-inflammatory: its main action is as a powerful natural anti-inflammatory. Identified mechanisms of action include the reduction of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as Interleukins 1 and 6 (IL-1 and IL-6) and Tumor Necrosis Factor alpha (TNF-α). In sports, this appears to reduce the intensity of post-exercise muscle soreness, commonly known as DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness). It may also help protect joints. In general, it has analgesic effects and is used as a natural alternative to NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs), both for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, making it an alternative treatment for various chronic inflammatory conditions (arthritis, gastrointestinal issues, cancer, psoriasis, etc.).
- Antioxidant effect: helps protect cells against oxidative damage by boosting the activity of the body’s own antioxidant enzymes.
- Anti-tumor effect: according to studies, the active components of turmeric may have pro-apoptotic effects on cancer cells, inhibit their growth, and even suppress metastasis.
Key Benefits of Ginger
- Anti-inflammatory: as a plant in the same family as turmeric, many of its properties are similar, including significant anti-inflammatory action. For athletes, it helps reduce DOMS, improving recovery. This analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect appears to be cumulative, so it is recommended for continuous use before and after competitions or during intense training periods.
- Antioxidant and immune support: rich in antioxidants and bioactive compounds, it helps modulate systemic inflammation and oxidative stress caused by intense exercise. Daily consumption also contributes to better immune status and may reduce illness risk, which is especially important for athletes during winter.
- Gastrointestinal improvements: in prolonged endurance sports (triathlon, ultramarathon, etc.), some athletes experience gastrointestinal discomfort or nausea during competitions. In such cases, small doses of ginger may help settle the stomach.
Key Benefit of Black Pepper
- Mainly added to enhance the absorption of certain bioactive compounds that naturally have low bioavailability, such as curcumin. Adding an active like piperine can boost and maintain curcumin’s effect.
Why use the combination of these three extracts?
Because they act synergistically, enhancing each other’s effects. Some studies have shown that taking these 3 herbal extracts can improve Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) levels in patients with chronic osteoarthritis as effectively as naproxen (an NSAID).
And let’s not forget that Curcumin COMPLEX is 100% safe thanks to its Informed-Sport anti-doping certification.
