The intensity determines the use of the different fuels during the exercise. As we increase the intensity, the energy obtained from fats decreases and the use of carbohydrates increases, as the body is able to obtain energy more quickly through them. This is essential because the higher the intensity the greater the energy input required, with carbohydrates being a fundamental element for maintaining a high performance for as long as possible.
